Shiva is a classic which has changed the direction of Telugu cinema. Its impact was so much that people talk about Telugu film industry as 'before Shiva & after Shiva'. Words fall short to describe the success and impact of the film. The movie remained as a milestone in Akkineni Nagarjuna career. Surprisingly, Nagarjuna son Akhil is saying that he didn't like 'Shiva' for a long time. He said that he didn't understand the film when he watched it for the first time.
He said "I didn't like Shiva when I watched it for the first time. I didn't even understand it. But I kept on watching the film. I watched it for 22 times till now. I liked it only when I watched it for the 16th time. Probably I reached a certain age to understand the film then."
Akhil also revealed when he was inclined towards films "When I was studying intermediate I told my dad that I wanted to do an acting course. He didn't say a word about it. Because he knows what was in my mind. He was actually waiting to listen to those words from me. I was grown up in the film industry environment. I used to think more about films so, I entered films."
