As Narendra Modi goes ahead with Union Cabinet Expansion, 12 Ministers submit resignations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a Union Cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday. As part of this 43 members were given a chance in the cabinet expansion. The new cabinet sees a few fresh faces, while a few senior members were promoted.

Before the cabinet expansion, as many as 12 Union Ministers have resigned from their respective Ministries, and the Cabinet Ministers’ resignations are said to have been accepted by the honorable President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

Media reports claimed that the Cabinet Ministers have tendered their resignation as per the saying of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and due to the same reason, the resignations of the Cabinet Ministers were accepted.

With seniors like Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank, Harsh Vardhan, and others resigning from their posts, their portfolios would be allocated to the new members.

Ahead of announcing the new members as part of the Union Cabinet expansion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a key meeting with the BJP MPs earlier today in the national capital Delhi.

The new faces in Narendra Modi Cabinet took oath today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Prime Minister’s new Cabinet includes the likes of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Narayan Rane, Sarbananda Sonowal, and others.
