Demand To Ban 2.O: Will It Build Hype?

Update: 2018-11-28 14:11 GMT
The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) sought ban on sci-fi thriller '2.O' which is releasing Tomorrow. Terming the Shankar directorial as anti-scientific, Association complained about the objectionable content in the movie even before watching it. The assumption is that Cell Phones have been shown in a poor light & it will have an impact on the people.

No doubt, '2.O' have an undercurrent social message related to the usage of mobile phones. Shankar believes it's this point which is universal and makes viewers connect instantly.

COAI seems to be unnecessarily making a hue & cry over the '2.O'. If '2.O' campaigns against usage of mobiles, Will people throw away the cell phones which have become an integral part of their lives? Why does the Cellular Operators Association judge by watching the posters or promos? Why don't it see it as creation of awareness among public about the side effects of using mobiles in excess? At least, The Association need to wait till the release to pass a judgement.

Will this unexpected controversy help '2.O' in any way? India's costliest flick is opening on a grand scale Tomorrow. Let's see what's the benchmark its gonna set..!
