Pakistan: Adda For Pirated Indian Films

Update: 2017-07-10 05:21 GMT
Usually movie stories are inspired from the real life.  Whether they are love stories.. family stories.. revenge stories.. there will be some resemblance to the real life, otherwise audience will not connect to the movie.  Sometimes our filmmakers come up with sensitive subjects touching religious aspects and politics. They will surely create controversies.. that the reason why Censor Board comes into the picture to scissor offensive scenes.

Sometimes Censor Board clears the film but state governments ban the release. We have seen this kind of incidents with films like 'Aarakshan'.. which was made in the backdrop of reservations.  Even 'Udta Punjab' also suffered similar problems as the movie revolves around drugs.  This is the situation in India.

Then what about Pakistan? Bollywood films.. especially Khans enjoy huge market in Pakistan.  Usually their films release in Pakistan. But sometimes their censor board don't give permission because there may be some scenes where Pakistan is insulted in the films.. or there will be some scenes in the film which question their government.

Salman Khan hit film 'Ek Tha Tiger' didn't release in Pakistan.. as the hero is our spy.. and loves a Pakistani girl. Similarly 'Bhag Milkha Bhag' didn't release in Pakistan.. as the movie consists of some scenes related to partition.   Akshay Kumar 'Baby'.. 'Jolly LLB2'.. Shah Rukh Khan 'Raees'.. 'Chennai Express'.. other films like 'Tere Bin Laden'.. 'Raanjhana' etc. fims didn't release in Pakistan.  Surprisingly Pakistanis watched all these films.

Their government may have issues with our films.. but audience don't have any issues watching our films. They are watching pirated version of our films. This has become a big business in Pakistan running into crores of Pakistani rupees.  What if our guys sell oiriginal DVDs? Then they might ban DVDs as well !
