Love Story Director Provides Refreshment For Sanitation Workers

Update: 2020-05-07 05:41 GMT
Amid ongoing lockdown, the sanitation workers are heroically working even in the red zones neglecting the Summer heat. We can't even imagine their difficulty working around Gandhi Hospital where the threat of the COVID-19 is heavy and maximum.

Moved by their risky services during this hot summer, talented director Sekhar Kammula joined with Vijaya Diary and started supplying buttermilk and badam milk packets for at least 1000 workers every day for a month.

"Watching sanitation workers toil in the summer heat during this lockdown is really heart-breaking. Areas in and around Gandhi hospital, where the patients are quarantined, seem like war-zones and sanitation workers seem like our foot soldiers," Sekhar Kammula said.

Since from the last week, they have been doing this and now Sekhar Kammula is extending the initiative to Kurnool Municipality.

The Love Story director also urged students and youngsters to collect money to help out the sanitation and migrant workers.
