Until yesterday, Tamil Producers have been at loggerheads with exhibitors and Digital Service Providers. TFPC called for a strike and continued till 45 days.
With Government intervention, the concerned parties came together for a solution and the strike has been called off.
Vishal, the President of Tamil Film Producers Council announced this and said, "We thank each and every producer for taking extra burden and helping us to successfully acquire what we have set out for."
Now, people are waiting to see if Kaala will release on time. April 27th is the Initial date announced for the film, but can the movie be readied within a week?
Dhanush is also part of the producers meet that TFPC has called for, to decide the release dates of the movies that couldn't release during the strike time.
Vishal said that films that are ready and have announced their date for the next week can release and they will sit with all the producers to decide on the schedule and release the dates of the films that have been hold off due to strike.
As people haven't been going to theatres from 45 to 50 days, due to strike, starting new releases with a Rajnikanth film will be a master-stroke from business point of view. But will all agree to it? Can pending works of Kaala be completed in one week's time? Will Kaala release in May first week?
We will get all the answers by the end of the day, today, that is on 18th April.
