The estimated expenditure of visual effects for Baahubali 1 & 2 is around Rs.100 crores. This is the highest amount spent on the visual effects for an Indian film till now. But the makers of '2.0' are spending more than 'Baahubali' series for the visual effects as per the reports.
The makers have initially planned to spend Rs.80 crores for the visual effects but the revised estimations touched Rs. 100 crores. Director Shankar has roped in best visual effect companies to do the job and he is not at all compromising on the quality. So, the visual effects expenditure of a single film '2.0' equals to the visual effects budget of two Baahubali films.
'2.0' is made with whopping Rs.450 crores and it is one of the most expensive films made in India. Shankar is known for extensively using visual effects in his films. As Rajamouli has thrown a challenge to Shankar with top class visual effects with 'Baahubali', Shankar is trying to take it to the next level with '2.0'.
Post-production works are going on in full swing for '2.0'. Filmmakers are planning to release the audio on October 27 in Dubai on a grand scale. '2.0' teaser will be launched next month in Hyderabad. Theatrical trailer will be released in December in Chennai.
