So, he decided to go with Writer- Director, script Jawan and the movie first look has been unveiled fortnight. If you observe the posters carefully, Jawan resembles the old movie of Sumanth, Yuvakudu, directed by Tholiprema fame, Karunakaran. In that movie, Sumanth wants to join the army like his father but his mother, Jayasudha stops him from doing so. Anyways, he joins the army and they unite in a dramatic climax. Well, the caption, Family or Country, tagline does give a hint about the story and we immediately remember this movie.
May be the director wanted to take the core theme of the hero finding it difficult to talk to his parents and convince about joining the army and glorified it into an action adventure. We have to wait till the movie releases.
The actor did receive criticism with Winner that he did not look his energetic self, so his fans are expecting him to rectify that in this movie. BVS Ravi previously directed Gopichand's Wanted and for him this movie is the second chance to prove his mettle as a director. Let's see what they have done.
