Video: Simbu's Journey From Fat To Fit Is Motivational!

It is quite common to lose control but managing to get back in control is what separates the best from the rest. Tamil's crazy hero Silambarasan who is called lovingly as Simbu by his fans celebrated his 39th birthday on Thursday. He was wished by a lot of Tamil celebrities. Simbu started his career as a child artist and gained a star hero image at a very young age. He is a multi-talented person who acts, sings, dances, writes and even directs films.

Along with his fanbase and immense talent, Simbu is known for staying in news for the wrong reasons most of the time. He got himself involved in a lot of controversies and even had multiple relationships with well-known heroines. His personal life took a huge toll on his body over the past few years.

Simbu who flaunted a six-pack body in 2011 became overweight before the lockdown. He was over 100 kilos and out of shape. There was even a ban on him by the Producer' Council due to his unprofessional behaviour. But he decided to take things back under his control. He took the spiritual route and gained control over his mind.

Later, he decided to reduce weight and went through a tremendous transformation. He is now just 71 kilos and looking fitter than ever. He posted a special video that showcased his journey which started during the lockdown period and filmed all the efforts behind getting behind back into top shape. He wrote, 'Hope this journey of mine inspires countless more.'. He resorted to walking initially, got into boxing and cardio workouts. As the days progressed, he took up jogging, swimming, sports, martial arts, treadmill runs and others. He even took up Ayyappa Deeksha for his mind.

He even turned into a pure vegetarian and all of this was possible because of his self-belief, dedication and focus on the target. Simbu scored a super hit like 'Loop' recently and he is working on another huge project now and its glimpse was recent yesterday. AR Rahman is the music composer.
