Religious twist to Mersal Controversy!

Update: 2017-10-23 08:51 GMT
Mersal, Vijay's new film delivered just one or two satires on GST and BJP has taken it upon themselves to make it a big issue. First, they raised objections about the successful Tax system, GST being criticised by Vijay with vested interests. But many found no objectionable content in Vijay's satires and the controversy seemed to be dying down.

To keep the issue burning, BJP leaders of Tamil Nadu started attacking religion of Vijay. Thalapathy Vijay is a Christian and he says in one of the scenes, that India needs more hospitals than Temples. One of the BJP leader, took objection to this comment and said that many people will start commenting on Hinduism and Hindutva, as they are the soft targets.

He also said that Christian Vijay cannot question, the growth of Churches in India or even Masjids. It is easy for him to comment on Hindu Temples and no Hindus react to such statements in our country, so we are in this state, he said. Well, all this looks like BJP leaders, are trying to earn some brownie points from high leadership by hook or crook, rather than making any sense. We have to wait for Vijay and his fans, who reacted aggressively to earlier comments, reaction, now.
