YV Vijayendra Prasad attempted a film like 'Srivalli' why because he hasn't penned a thriller subject so far. 'After watching this Movie, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna said - 'There are lot of Twists. I am not able to guess even one of them'. That word of praise is like an award for Me. Even Rajamouli, Sukumar, Krish and Kona Venkat weren't able to guess what's gonna happen next,' he told.

The 'Baahubali' Writer discloses what inspired him to pen a subject like 'Srivalli'. 'Ramesh is My Best Friend. We weren't in touch after shifting to Hyderabad in 2000. On the day of Vinayaka Chavithi, I remembered him. Later, I came to know that he is living in Vijayawada and went to his house. That's when I came to know that he is no more alive. His Mother had shown Me his diary in which Ramesh wrote that he wished to meet Me on Vinayaka Chavithi. We both wished to meet each other on the same day though we aren't in touch for several years. That's really very unusual & it inspired me to write the script of 'Srivalli',' he says.

Mr. Prasad expressed his desire to pen the subject for Chiru-Charan multistarrer. In fact, He wants none other than Rajamouli to direct the crazy project.

'Mersal' starring Vijay, Samantha and Kajal marks the debut of Vijayendra Prasad in Kollywood. He also provided script of Kangana Ranaut's 'Manikarnika' which is based on Rani Laxmi Bhai. He was also instrumental in roping Krish as Director for this historical subject. Vijayendra Prasad will soon direct another Telugu movie and a Hindi film as well.
