The makers of the upcoming Tamil film Thangalaan have announced that they will release a "slice of flesh" from the movie on April 17, 2023, which is also the birthday of the film's lead actor Vikram. Studio Green, the production house, shared a poster of Vikram from the film and promised that audiences could expect something powerful from the world of Thangalaan.
Director Pa Ranjith recently revealed at a media interaction that 80% of the film's shoot has been completed. The team has wrapped up major portions in KGF over 55 days and aims to finish the remaining 25 days of filming by May.
Ranjith praised the cast and crew for their hard work and support during the challenging shoot. Thangalaan is expected to explore the origins of the Kolar Gold Field in Karnataka and features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan, and Hari Krishnan in pivotal roles.
The film is produced by Studio Green and Neelam Productions and will be scored by GV Prakash, marking his first collaboration with Ranjith. Tamil Prabha is the co-writer of the film, while Selva RK and SS Murthi are in charge of editing and art direction, respectively.
Thangalaan will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The film is expected to hit theaters by the end of 2023.
