In a recent conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar, Nandamuri Balakrishna, fondly known as Balayya, charmed the audience with his wit and candidness. The interview took place after Balayya received the prestigious Legacy Award, and Karan Johar, with a playful disclaimer, said that actor Rana had prompted him to ask certain questions.

Karan began by asking Balayya when he first heard the iconic chant, "Jai Balayya." Balayya humorously responded that it was even before his birth, comparing it to the story of Abhimanyu from Indian mythology. The conversation continued with Karan asking who the worst guest on Balayya’s talk show was, to which Balayya diplomatically replied that even introverts turned into great guests after appearing on his show.

When asked why people were afraid of him, Balayya joked that it was all love, but occasionally, people annoyed him, so he gave them a "return gift."

The discussion turned toward their favorite actors, with Karan expressing his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, while Balayya graciously avoided picking between Tollywood legends like Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna.

To end the chat on a light note, Balayya sang the famous Kishore Kumar song "Dil Aisa Kisi Ne Mera Toda," leaving the audience in awe.
