ED Summoned Another Celebrity In Betting Scam?

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has unearthed an alleged scam that is sending shocking waves across the country. A popular betting scam is facing allegations of indulging in Hawala and other activities. The investigating officers are digging deeper into the case to get more and more details connected to the scam.

It is said that the officers are putting a tab on the celebrities who are facing allegations of receiving money for promoting the Mahadev betting app, which is in the news for the irregularities. Reports say that the financial translations made by the app are on the radar.

Earlier it was reported that Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor was summoned by the officers to appear before them for questioning in the case. As if this is not enough another big name joined the row as the ED is said to have served notice.

As per the media reports, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is the latest one to receive a summons from the ED. She was asked to appear before the officers for questioning.

The alleged development can be seen as a big blow to the industry and its fans as two big stars were summoned by the ED. It is said that many big stars in the industry are on the list who received money for promoting the app.

Usually, the betting apps go after celebrities for the promotion to bank on their popularity. The Mahadev betting app is also said to have roped in a few celebrities to promote it.

The app’s promotor Chandrakar's lavish wedding came onto the radar of the ED as multiple crores are said to have been spent on it. As the money is said to have been paid in cash there are severe allegations of money laundering and the ED is digging deeper.
