'Matka' Team Readies 15 Cr Set Of Vintage Vizag In RFC!

Mega Prince Varun Tej always picks up different subjects compared to other heroes. After failures like 'Ghani', 'Gandheevadhari Arjuna' and 'Operation Valentine', Varun Tej is working on a period drama named 'Matka'. The team released a glimpse in January which showcased the tone and mood of the film. The team is working on the third schedule right now.

It is a 35-day long shooting schedule and the makers have spent 15 crores for this phase of shooting. The production is taking place in Ramoji Film City and they have built sets that recreate vintage Vizag locations. The investment in the vintage sets underscores the commitment to delivering a visually spectacular experience. Since it is a pan-Indian film, the makers are spending a lot on this film.

The making video shows the extensive pre-production and grand-scale making. These sets, meticulously designed to replicate the charm and essence of Vizag from a bygone era, are expected to be one of the highlights of the film. Also, we can see Varun Tej during the making visuals and he is going to give a superb performance in 'Matka' according to the movie's unit.

Meenakshi Chaudhry is the leading lady and Bollywood Actress Nora Fatehi is roped in for a crucial role. The story takes place between 1958 and 1982. A Kishore Kumar has succeeded in recreating the milieu from the 50s to the 80s through his cinematography. 'Matka' is based on a real incident that shook the entire nation. The rest of the cast includes Naveen Chandra, Kannada Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, Mime Gopi, Roopalakshmi, Vijayrama Raju, Jagadeesh, Raj Thirandas and others.

Karuna Kumar who made 'Palasa 1978' and 'Sridevi Soda Center' has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for this movie apart from being the director. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer while Karthika Srinivas is the editor. Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala of Vyra Entertainments is producing the movie, in association with Rajani Talluri's SRT Entertainments.
