Entering the Sankranthi fray as the last cinema of the season, despite tough competition, the Nari Nari Naduma Murari team exuded confidence. Directed by Samajavaragamana fame Ram Abbaraju, coupled with interesting promos, and Sharwanand carrying the Sankranthi sentiment with hit films like Express Raja and Satamanam Bhavathi earlier, this movie raised expectations. After using Balakrishna’s blockbuster film’s title as their title, did this movie live up to the expectations? Did Sharwa get the success he’s anticipating? Have a look.

Story:

Gowtham (Sharwanand) works as an architect in a multinational company and falls in love with his colleague Nitya (Sakshi Vaidhya). Though they love madly, her father never likes their relationship, and despite agreeing to their registered marriage, he finds loopholes to call off the wedding. At the same time, Gowtham’s ex-GF Diya (Samyuktha), whom he loved and tied the knot through a registered wedding during his college days, and shortly separated thereafter, turns up. With Gowtham falling into a dilemma, how he manages to keep Diya away from Nitya and her father turns interesting. What are the challenges he faced in the first marriage, and if he married Nitya in the present day or not, should be seen on the screen.

Narration and Analysis:

Rather than taking risks to present a new story, presenting an old story in a new mould is something young directors often do. Especially for comedy-centric films, this is the template they follow. If they create central characters well, and develop good comedy situations, and add trendy one-liners to it, surely the audience will burst into laughter. That's exactly what “Nari Nari Naduma Murari” team has done. After impressing with Samajavaragamana earlier, director Ram Abbaraju and writers Bhanu-Nandu cast their magic spell again. From youths to family audiences, everyone laughed nonstop at this trio’s amazing work. Without any over-the-top scenes, limit-crossing scenes and double entendres, the film made clean fun. By scoring with comedy again, Sharwanand became that hat-trick Sankranthi hero for sure.

Sample this: As the hero’s ex-lover's name is Diya, he gets her name tattooed on his chest, but later breaks up with her. A couple of years later, he tries to marry another girl, and there arises the situation to wipe off that tattoo. But with the tattoo artist saying that’s a permanent one, how the hero managed her current GF when she notices the tattoo is quite hilarious. Though if the twist in that scene is revealed, it will be a spoiler, but the scene explains how beautifully the trio of Ram Abbaraju, Bhanu, and Nandu crafted each scene and sequence inside Nari Nari Naduma Murari. There are almost 5-6 such hilarious comedy blocks inside the movie. In-form comedian Satyas’ hospital episode literally makes bellies burst with laughter. Whenever the pace slows down, the comedy sequences fill it up, thus Nari Nari Naduma Murari never feels boring.

We’ve seen several films with the storyline of a hero falling in love with one girl, and then a new girl enters his life years later, and the old girl surfaces miraculously. As the hero manages both of them, without revealing the truth to anyone, a lot of confusion-comedy arises, and many films dealt with that point. Though Nari Nari Naduma Murari also touches on the same point, the scenes are pleasant and the narrative is refreshing. Especially the supporting characters played by Naresh, Satya, and Vennela Kishore has speciality in them, and the fun episodes designed with them exploded big on screen. Even Sharwanand entertained in his own way. Some repetitive scenes and the second half’s elongated runtime are a drawback, though. What worked in the film’s favour are the love tracks with the heroines, engaging comedy sequences, and pre-climax emotions, along with the pleasant courtroom sequence. We could surely say that Nari Nari Naduma Murari has hit a last-ball six in the Sankranthi season.

Performances:

Despite ages when it comes to scoring a hit, Sharwanand’s confidence remains unshaken. His energetic acting reminds us of films like Run Raja Run and Express Raja. He showcased style both in his looks and acts, and that’s what makes his fans super happy. The roles of both heroines are impressive, while Sakshi Vaidya gets fewer opportunities to showcase acting mettle, as Samyuktha rocks the screen. Senior actor Naresh has once again stood as a strong pillar, with a typical character that has a hilarious presentation. Satya and Vennela Kishore showered loads of laughter, while Sudharshan was also impressive.

Technicians:

Despite Sharawanand’s market value being down, producers have bet big on the film, and the production values prove the same. Gnanasekar and Yuvrajs’ visuals are attractive, as they are colourful and pleasing to the eye. However, composer Vishal Chandrasekhar, who has delivered chartbuster songs earlier, hasn’t lived up to the mark. If at all he has scored better songs, the film’s level would have been different. His background score is also just okay.

Writers Bhanu and Nandu have proved their mettle again, as they joined hands with director Ram Abbaraju to create interesting characters and hilarious comedy sequences. Even Ram Abbaraju scored marks for his directorial abilities, as the emotional touch given to this comedy story is also noteworthy.

Finally: Nari Nari Naduma Murari... A delightful entertainer
