Bollywood critic says arrogance, Naga Vamsi hits back!
It is an established fact that Telugu producer Naga Vamsi has a very outspoken attitude.
It is an established fact that Telugu producer Naga Vamsi has a very outspoken attitude. He has the capacity to address many issues on the face. He has done the same now when a Bollywood critic indirectly commented about him regarding the recent round table conference involving Naga Vamsi and Boney Kapoor.
The critic had originally tweeted “South Indian films, especially the Telugu industry, have truly transformed Indian cinema by introducing the Pan-India trend and encouraging collaborations across industries. While Bollywood may be struggling with larger-than-life masala and rooted films, it’s far from being finished. Disrespecting #BoneyKapoor ji was unnecessary, the same point could have been made respectfully.
Many top South filmmakers and actors have openly expressed their admiration for Hindi cinema and acknowledged how legends like Amitabh Bachchan, Prakash Mehra, Yash Chopra, and Manmohan Desai inspired their commercial films. Let’s not forget that Hindi box office collections have played a big role in helping South films grow on a larger scale.
Criticism is fine, but disrespect is not OK. ARROGANCE LEADS TO DOWNFALL and that is applied to everyone across the industries.” While he did not necessarily name Naga Vamsi in this week, the timing of this post clearly implies that it is aimed at Vamsi.
But again, Vamsi is not the kind of a person who would back down from such vile attacks. So he hit back at the critic in his own style.
“You don’t need to teach us how to respect elders, we respect boney ji more than u guys do and there was no disrespect towards boney ji in that conversation it was a healthy discussion, me and boney ji had a nice laugh and hugged each other after the interview… So please dont come to your conclusions with just what you saw.” Vamsi replied.
This confrontation started off in the first place when Vamsi tried to educate Boney Kapoor about Bollywood, trying to make films for Bandra and Juhu areas in Mumbai, rather than catering to the masses. This appears to have triggered the Bollywood folk, and they are commenting against Vamsi now.
