Like a storm that refuses to settle, the controversy surrounding Konda Surekha's comments about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and the Akkineni family continues to rage. Recently, Nagarjuna Akkineni broke his silence, speaking out in an interview about the defamatory remarks made by the Congress Minister. While the film industry rallied in support of the Akkineni family, including political leader KTR, who sent a legal notice, Nagarjuna took things a step further by filing a defamation lawsuit against Surekha.

During his interview, Nagarjuna shared that his legal battle is far from over. He revealed that they are preparing to file another defamation lawsuit, this time for Rs 100 crore, against the minister. The senior actor expressed his anger, stating that Surekha’s comments had crossed the line and couldn't be easily dismissed. Though she reportedly apologized to Samantha, Nagarjuna was firm in pointing out that no such apology was extended to him or his family.

When asked if an apology to his family could lead to the withdrawal of the lawsuit, Nagarjuna’s response was clear and decisive: "No, not at all." He explained that the issue had grown beyond just a personal matter and had turned into something much bigger. The slander, according to him, had hurt not just his family but also damaged their reputation in the public eye.

Acknowledging the lengthy legal battle ahead, Nagarjuna stated that he is fully prepared for the challenges, understanding that defamation cases can take years to resolve. He remains determined to see the case through to the end, believing that the gravity of the situation demands such a response. The controversy stems from Konda Surekha’s earlier comments, in which she blamed BRS leader KTR for the separation of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, fueling even more public outrage.
