Telugu Fans Upset With Nani’s Choice Of Heroes

Apart from being busy with his own films, where he acts as a leading man, talented actor and hero Nani is also churning out movies as a producer. He has come up with movies like Awe!, HIT, and the recent blockbuster Court, which stood out for its content. Right now, a buzz is being heard that the second film of Court director Ram Jagdish and the second movie of Dhandora fame Muralikanth Dasoth are being churned out by Nani’s very own Wall Poster Cinema only. That’s a good sign, isn’t it?

While bringing out movies of young directors who have immense talent is a good thing, surely that’s not impressing everyone. It’s good to see a star like Nani producing films, but then, rather than putting Telugu heroes on the pedestal, it’s being rumoured that he has picked up Malayalam heroes like Naslen and Dulquer Salman as the leading men for his next two production ventures. One will be directed by the Dhandora director’s movie, which will see Premalu fame Naslen Gafoor in the lead, Court director will be making a film with Dulquer Salman. This is where Telugu fans of Nani are getting a bit hurt.

Regularly in Telugu movies, we used to see heroines from other places, including Mumbai curvaceous sirens and Tamil-Malayalam beauties taking the lead places. Then came a time when character artists from neighbourhood industries used to dominate here. And at a time when Telugu cinema is doing great in other states, the saddest thing to happen is that Malayalam and Tamil heroes are being roped in for Telugu movies. Guess what, the films featuring these Mallu and Tamil stars, which are crafted by Telugu makers, are not even doing well in their native states. That’s the reason for Telugu folks to get upset with Nani now!
