Jr NTR recently addressed the mixed reactions to his latest film, Devara: Part 1, which hit theaters on September 27. Despite an impressive opening day with earnings of ₹172 crore, the film's box office performance saw a noticeable decline, sparking both praise and criticism from audiences. In the same context, NTR commented on audiences' perceptions of movies these days, which were interpreted by a section of the media.

In an interview recently, NTR said, "We as an audience have become very negative these days. We cannot enjoy a film innocently anymore," Jr NTR said.

Reflecting on his own experiences, he added, "When I watch my sons, they don’t care about what actor or what movie they are watching; they just enjoy movies. I wonder why we are not able to be that innocent anymore?"

His comments highlight the growing trend of intense scrutiny that films face, as well as his wish for audiences to recapture the simple joy of watching movies without overanalyzing them. However, many feel that NTR is criticizing the audiences and their tastes but it is a simple opinion which he expressed and majority of us would also agree to the same.

However, the euphoric success of Devara tells the stand of audiences towards the film.
