A strange and surprising incident happened to a Russian filmmaker after he won one of the world’s biggest awards the Oscar. What should have been a proud journey turned into a stressful experience at the airport.

The filmmaker, Pasha Talankin recently won an Oscar for co-directing the documentary Mr. Nobody Against Putin. After receiving the award, he planned to travel from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to Frankfurt in Germany on a flight operated by Lufthansa.

However, things did not go as expected. At the airport security check, officials stopped him from carrying the Oscar trophy inside the cabin. They believed the statue could be used as a weapon because of its solid metal structure. Even though it was just an award, the security team did not allow him to take it with him on the flight.

With no other option, Talankin packed the Oscar in a box and handed it over for cargo transport. He boarded the flight, hoping to receive it safely at his destination.

But the real shock came after he landed in Frankfurt. The box containing his Oscar was missing! Talankin was deeply upset and shared his frustration with the media. He said he had traveled with the Oscar many times before and never faced such a problem.

For two days, there was no clear information about the missing award. Finally, Lufthansa announced that the Oscar had been found. The airline also apologized to Talankin for the inconvenience caused.
