The Remuneration Trick Worked For Raviteja

Back in the day, senior star Raviteja lost some movies only because of the fact that he’s quoting a lot of remuneration. Some producers backed off because they don’t want to pay the ₹10-15 crore paycheck he’s demanding. At the same time, almost a half-dozen films of the actor tanked in a row, and that added more woes. But then, he changed the ‘remuneration’ style.
Rather than taking full money upfront, Raviteja followed the route of Megastar Chiranjeevi. The mass hero took only ₹2 crores as a signing advance, and for the rest of the ₹8 crores, he took Nizam rights of “Irumudi” as the barter. Guess what, the film might now make him a cool ₹20 crores in hand from this territory alone, as per the trade circuits. For agreeing to this model, the actor has amassed double what he would otherwise get from signing a film.
Currently, top producers are looking at this model for some other heroes too, because this would cut the burden on the producers and would also give a breather when it comes to spending money during the shooting times. Also, for heroes, if a film works, it makes them profit; else it wouldn’t. That way the loss would be minimised, and star heroes would be more responsible.
