Sid’s Hatred For Tollywood: But What Will He Do?

Having talent is one thing, and having a good heart is another. Right now we have this director, Siddharth Anand, who for a long time struggled to deliver blockbuster movies, and now that he has given films like Pathaan and War, suddenly starts feeling like a legend. It’s not because he made big films, but actually he takes dig at the Telugu film industry’s rousing success big time.
The other day, an old video of Hyderabad’s politician and educationist Malla Reddy surfaced, where he said to Ranbir Kapoor during the pre-release event of Animal in Hyderabad that the actor had better shift to Hyderabad, as the big films are now happening in Tollywood, with Hyderabad as the epicentre. However, someone has now commented that in recent times all those biggies carved by Tollywood, which include Devara, #OG, Kingdom, Peddi, The Raja Saab and others, have ended up as flops in Bollywood. Commenting on this comment, Siddharth Anand posted “Oops” on his Twitter account, agitating the Telugu crowds.
Well, that’s Siddharth Anand, who keeps borrowing ideas from Hollywood movies and makes crass films that showcase Indian spies as villains and Pakistani ISI agents as beautiful heroines in his movies, talking about the flop-show of Tollywood, and that’s what every Telugu cinema lover out there feels. More than these comments, what more could Siddharth Anand really do?
