Parasakthi Failure: Is It Correct To Blame Vijay's Fans?
Vijay’s fans are not accepting Sudha Kongara’s thought process of blaming other heroes’ fans for the failure of their own movie;
One of the rare cases where a big film gets a solo release during Sankranthi eve at the Box Office happened after a long time. That’s the case of Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi movie, which has two other heroes, including Jayam Ravi and Atharva in key roles, then Sreeleela playing the female lead. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film failed to click, but the director’s words are struggling to get backing now.
Apparently, Sudha Kongara has indirectly blamed the fans of a star hero, whose film failed to release on Sankranthi eve, are creating negativity for the Parasakthi movie. That really didn’t go well, even with no-brainers, as they are quick to point out how the film’s content failed to click, thus making less than ₹30 crores gross ever since its release.
Literally, Parasakthi got a solo release for Pongal, and the film’s anti-Hindi narrative, a story set in 1960s emergency times, favours the ruling government’s stand too. As Vijay’s Jana Nayagan hasn’t been released, Parasakthi almost got big screens and also managed to get favourable reviews from top critics. Director Sudha Kongara’s previous films also worked big time, and still Parasakthi bombed. Does that mean there’s any issue with the content of the film or Vijay’s fans?
Vijay’s fans are not accepting Sudha Kongara’s thought process of blaming other heroes’ fans for the failure of their own movie, when they got all the chances on earth to make it big, but the content failed to enthrall.
