Not every fight needs blood and noise. Some battles happen quietly, inside the mind. That’s what Siddu Jonnalagadda teased about his new film Telusu Kada, releasing on October 17 for Diwali. At the pre-release event in Hyderabad, he casually said, “Varun’s role is a mental war. No blood, just emotions and strategy.” Just that one line got everyone talking, leaning in, and guessing what kind of rollercoaster this movie might be.

Siddu isn’t the flirty, easy-going guy this time. Varun is someone caught in his own head, facing conflicts that hit hard but silently. The film promises tension and twists without relying on punches or chases. From Siddu’s words, it feels like the story will mess with your mind a little, make you feel uneasy, but in a good way, the kind of thrill that sticks after the movie ends.

Directed by Neeraj Kona, Telusu Kada also stars Raashi Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty. Produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Kriti Prasad under People Media Factory, the team seems to be going for a different Diwali vibe. Not the usual loud, flashy entertainer, but something slower, more psychological, and layered, the kind you talk about over tea after watching.

After the charm of DJ Tillu, this feels like a riskier, more serious side of him. If it works, Siddu could show that you don’t always need action or explosions to keep the audience hooked, sometimes, a quiet, twisted mind game is enough to make a movie unforgettable.
