What happened yesterday in Hyderabad clearly shows how poor planning and last-minute decisions can badly affect a big movie’s opening day. The entire situation turned into a mess because the Raja Saab premieres were not opened on time. In a city like Hyderabad, where movie premieres usually create huge buzz, this delay shocked both fans and the film team.
The premieres were supposed to start early in the evening, but the shows were not opened until 9 o’clock. Even after that, things did not move smoothly. Finally, the shows began only after 11:30 PM. By then, a lot of valuable time was already lost. For a big hero movie with high expectations, the early hours are very important for collections and bookings.
One important point here is to be highlighted about ticket prices. He clearly said that ticket prices were not high. In fact, they were kept low and affordable. In Andhra Pradesh, tickets were sold at prices like Rs.1000, Rs.900, and Rs.800, and everything went smoothly there. There were no major issues, and the shows happened as planned.
However, the situation changed completely in Telangana. Despite following the rules, the shows were not allowed to open on time. The GO about ticket prices not getting released even at 9:30pm. Hence all the shows got postponed which had a huge effect on ticket sales for Premieres and a lot of loss to makers.
If the shows had opened at least four hours earlier, the collections would have been much better. Bookings would have been strong, especially since it was a high-expectation film starring a big hero. Fans were ready, theatres were packed, but the shows did not start.
Even, there was heavy chaos near Vimal Theatre in Balanagar, Hyderabad, during The Raja Saab premiere issue. Fans were eagerly waiting for the premiere shows in Hyderabad. However, since the government order (GO) was not released, the makers announced that only a special show for media would be screened at Vimal Theatre.
As soon as this news spread, a large number of fans gathered at the theatre. The unexpected crowd created confusion and tension. Even the media show faced the risk of cancellation. Fans entered the theatre premises, and later everyone was asked to come out. Angry fans raised slogans like “We Want Justice”, expressing their disappointment.
