Gone are the days when heroines will have a limited shelf-life of just 5-7 years in the film industry.

Back then, when a heroine entered the industry, or Tollywood to be more precise, at the age of 18 years, by the time they reached 25-27, they would have already done a couple of movies with each superstar, and slowly would be in a fading mode.

Either they will cross 30-age or they get married, that’s it, the career is over. But that’s not the trend now. Even at 40 and with two kids, many are starring as heroines opposite big stars. However, some heroines are not following this and are sitting idle for a long time. You know why?

Some heroines, who have done a film almost a year ago, post those hottest pictures on Instagram, but aren’t seen in any movie. Apparently, most of them are demanding more than a crore when Telugu makers approach, and hence, they are not getting any films.

Finally, they will get at least one film from some desperate hero or producer, who will cast them, and give them that 1 crore, and the scene repeats. Many heroines who made a name with a couple of movies, especially the ones from Bengaluru, are following this unique formula only. However, the situation has changed now, and they have to be careful.

Well, now that OTTs are not paying much, and theatrical revenue looks bleak, surely the costs are coming down, and heroines will be the first ones to lose. Producers are thinking about 8-15 lakhs budgets per heroine, and that’s how we have seen how budding Marathi beauty is doing almost 3-4 projects in a row in Telugu right now.
