Indian cinema is absolutely shaking with the impact created by Dhurandhar 2. This film is setting new records at the box office every single day, and is now projected to be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in the history of Indian cinema.

There’s growing discussion among movie lovers about what would have happened if Yash’s pan‑India film Toxic had released as originally planned in March 2026 instead of being postponed to June. According to industry talks, Toxic was delayed due to post‑production delays, lack of promotional time and financial constraints faced by the producers.

If Toxic had released in March, it likely would have clashed directly with other big films, especially Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Fans expected Toxic to take a strong opening, which might have affected Dhurandhar’s theater allocations and box‑office revenues in regions like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. But in terms of revenues, Dhurandhar 2 would’ve stood its ground.

Under that scenario, the Telugu film Ustad Bhagat Singh might have been dropped from the festival weekend lineup, and Toxic might have been one of only two big releases alongside Dhurandhar.

But now, without a clash, Dhurandhar has been able to dominate the box office, while Ustad Bhagat Singh is also gaining audience reaction ahead of its release. But at the same time, considering the momentum that Dhurandhar could generate at the box office during the release, Toxic might’ve been swept away.

Overall, many in the industry feel the postponement actually worked out well for Telugu cinema, avoiding an intense head‑to‑head battle and giving each film space to perform on its own.
