Crores of people became sick due to the Covid pandemic which rocked the world. The pandemic which claimed lakhs of lives also brought unmatched loss and sorrow. Though the virus spread is not as severe as it used to be earlier, studies are being held across the world. A report on the study has come out.

The research was conducted on the topic of those who were bedridden for over one week due to COVID-19 and their health condition later. The study was held on a big sample. Interesting details came out when the details mentioned in the study were examined. The research found that those who struggled with COVID-19 for over one week developed issues like body pains and others for at least two years.

The experts say that there is no difference in males and females who had long Covid symptoms. They said that this is common in everyone. At the same time, the study found that those who contacted Covid and were admitted to the hospital for over two months had more symptoms after the recovery. Around 64,880 elderly people from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland were taken as samples.

Interestingly, those who were part of the study suffered from Covid and other physical issues between 2020 April and 2022 August. Those who were part of the study took either complete vaccination or partial vaccination. 22 percent of them suffered from Covid when the virus rang danger bells. 10 percent of them were bedridden for at least a week or more than that.

Compared to others, those who were bedridden are seeing long Covid symptoms more. They suffered from issues like trouble breathing, chest pain, headaches, and others. Around 10-20 percent of Covid patients developed long-lasting issues. Experts say that those who developed Covid should be cautious about their physical issues for at least two years. They say that instead of being overconfident that they are healthy, they should be very cautious.
