100 new party incharges for TDP soon

Update: 2021-05-19 12:22 GMT
The TDP, it is being reported, is preparing for a major overhaul. The party wants to clean up its organisational structure and induct fresh blood. If insiders are to be believed, at least 100 new constituency-level party incharges would be appointed and they would be asked to rebuild the party from the scratch.

If sources are to be believed, Prashant Kishor's former associate and election spin doctor Robin Sharma, whose services have been requisitioned by Chandrababu to rejuvenate the TDP, has suggested that several old and jaded leaders need to be replaced. Also, in at least 100 assembly constituencies, the present incharges were found to be ineffective. There is serious leadership crisis in the TDP in many of these constituencies. The problem is that several TDP biggies have resigned from the party positions and have virtually retired. There are no incharges in key constituencies like Dharmavaram, Ramachandrapuram, Kovvur, Vijayawada West, Macherla, Prathipadu, T Gannavaram, Pattipadu and Sullurpet. Even in TDP strongholds like Gannavaram and Nuzvid, there are no effective leaders in the TDP.

Hence Robin Sharma reportedly suggested that new leaders should be appointed immediately and this will give them elbow space to function. Whatever little opposition to these incharges would be nullified by 2024, he reportedly told Chandrababu Naidu.

As of now,  Team Robin Sharma is conducting intensive survey in the districts. It is identifying old and dead wood leaders and is also zeroing in on young and dynamic alternatives. Once the survey gets over, expect some major changes in the TDP.
