In the past two-and-a-half years, TDP Lawmakers have amassed crores of wealth in the form of Commissions in developments works, land/property settlements, railway contracts, sand mafia and etc., Post the ban on old currency notes, MLAs were worried about this illegal wealth. While few converted black money into gold biscuits or jewellery, few others enquired about hawala on 70:30 commission basis. Some of them even asked their followers to deposit Rs 2.5 lakh each in their accounts. Even Farmers of their region weren't spared.

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu came to know about the unaccounted money of his party MLAs with intelligence reports. Many of the Legislators are in a dilemma over the unaccounted money. They couldn't speak about it openly and fears Income Tax sleuths might conduct raids at any time.
