As many as 18 AIADMK Legislators who are loyal to TTV Dhinakaran met Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao in Chennai on Tuesday. They sought removal of Palanisamy from CM Post citing he lost their confidence after the merger with O Panneerselvam's Camp.
On the other hand, TTV Dhinakaran termed the merger of two factions of AIADMK as a commercial agreement for self-interest and hunger for posts. He opined that the merger will be treated as betrayal of party general secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan.
A MLA who is Dhinakaran's Loyalist claimed 25 AIADMK MLAs were against the merger though only 18 of them met Governor. He told 122 AIADMK MLAs supported Palanisamy during Trust Vote on February 18th this year only because of Sasikala.
Today, DMK Working President MK Stalin wrote to Tamil Nadu Government seeking directions to Palanisamy to prove his majority in the Assembly. AIADMK Government might collapse if Governor asks Palanisamy to prove his strength in Assembly.
