Former Sri Lankan Skipper Arjuna Ranatunga sought an investigation into the 2011 World Cup final defeat of his country at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. He claims to be in the commentary box during this India-Sri Lanka final.

In a video posted on Facebook, Ranatunga told: 'I can't disclose everything now but one day I will. An inquiry has been conducted. Players can't hide the dirt with their clean white cricketing cloth'.

However, Gambhir and Nehra condemned the allegations of Ranatunga. While the batsman demanded Ranatunga to prove his allegations with proofs, The pacer opined it wouldn't be in good taste if he questions Sri Lanka's 1996 World Cup victory.

Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 274 for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 Overs. India chased the target easily as Gambhir & Dhoni scored 90-plus each. Sri Lanka's poor bowling has  been blamed for the defeat. But, None could ignore the fact that India have a strong batting line-up.
