As per the media reports, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operations commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind behind the Mumbai attacks was arrested on Saturday. The arrests took place in Pakistan.
Based on the information received, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab province has arrested him on the charges of terror financing, reportedly.
It is said that development is a result of the operation conducted by the Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). The operation is touted to be intelligence-based.
According to the information, the arrested accused is said to be running a dispensary with the money he collected to finance the terror activities. Along with some others, he has funded terrorism financing.
He will be produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore for the trial. More details of the case trial are awaited.
