As many as 45 people died and around 17 others suffered severe injuries as a Telangana State RTC Bus fell into a gorge at Kondagattu ghat road in Jagtyal District on Tuesday morning.
Reportedly, The ill-fated RTC Bus has been carrying 70 pilgrims to Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple. Passengers came to one-side of the bus at a steep turn on the narrow ghat road, resulting in the bus driver losing control of the vehicle. The bus fell as much as 30-feet into the valley and it overturned four times during this period.
Caretaker Chief Minister KCR expressed shock over the deadly bus mishap. He directed in-charge Minister Etela Rajender to oversee the rescue operation. Officials kickstarted the rescue operations and shifting the injured to the nearby hospitals.
