In the wake of the deadly virus reaching an alarming level, a new study was carried by the Chinese doctors which examined the air samples from the COVID-19 patients in the hospitals and found out that the deadly virus has the ability to travel up to 13 feet.
For this study, the researchers at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in the Beijing of China have tested the surface and air samples from the intensive care unit and COVID-19 ward at the Wuhan province.
They found that the virus was most heavily concentrated on the floors of the wards, "perhaps because of gravity and airflow causing most virus droplets to float to the ground."
"Furthermore, half of the samples from the soles of the ICU medical staff shoes tested positive. Therefore, the soles of medical staff shoes might function as carriers," the study maintained.
With this, the concerns and fears about the dreaded virus will go up certainly as the positive cases and deaths due to the virus have been ringing the danger bells.
