Ugadi is one of the key Hindu festivals celebrated across the nation. The festival is celebrated in a few other nations as well. With the festival fast approaching, the Holy Shrine of Lord Shiva, the Srisailam Temple is gearing up for the festival celebrations. A big attendance of devotees is expected at the festival on the occasion.

However, an unwanted tension had gripped the temple city with a fight breaking out between two groups. Reports say that a local vendor and devotees coming from other states had an argument which had eventually turned into a big fight leading to a big loss.

Going into detail, a devotee from the neighboring state Karnataka had visited the temple city. At midnight on Wednesday, he went to a tea stall. He reportedly demanded water from the vendor and he is believed to have given a rude answer. This did not go well with the devotee and had an argument with the vendor.

Seeing this, the locals came in support of the tea vendor and they too had an argument with the Kannada devotee. This escalated quickly with two groups starting to fight each other intensely. As a result of the fight, one of the Kannada devotees was severely injured as he was reportedly attacked by a sharp object.

After one devotee was injured, the other Kannada devotees had displayed their anger by destroying the shops at the Pathala Ganga Nandi circle. It is believed that many shops at the center were destroyed and the loss created by this is said to be very big.

The victim was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital facility and the treatment is underway. More details on the condition of the severely injured victim are awaited. The situation was taken to the notice of the local police who did not waste any time in reaching the spot.

Media reports say that the cops rushed to the spot and spoke to both groups to get more information on what happened. Not just that, the Police personnel had cleared people from there and a police force was deployed in large numbers to see that no unwanted scenes take place in the temple city.
