Ap: Amid Problematic Situations, Theatre Wonders To Meet Today!

Update: 2021-12-27 07:15 GMT
The situations for the theatre owners in Andhra Pradesh have turned problematic with the continued raids at the theatres. As a result, the count of theaters that are being seized by the authorities is increasing. The concerned authorities who are conducting searches at the theaters are seizing them on various grounds.

As of now, more than 100 theaters were seized by the authorities, while a few other theaters were shut down voluntarily. If the same situations continue to prevail, then a few more theatres might get either seized or shot voluntarily.

Amid the tough situation, the theatre owners, film exhibitors, distributors are gearing up to call for a big meeting to discuss the current situations. The proposed meeting comes at the time when the theatre owners and people who are dependent on the theatre system were facing the heat of the new Government Order.

As per the information, the key meeting will commence on Monday in Rajahmundry. Key issues might come up for the meeting. It is interesting to see what decisions the members will take and what their further course of action is going to be.

If the ticket issue is not addressed the earliest, the film industry might face a negative impact as big-ticket movies like RRR, Radhe Shyam, which were made on a Pan-India scale. In two to three weeks, the much-awaited films will hit the screens.

The issue will have a severe impact on the theatre system as the count of theatres might get reduced massively given the current scenario.

At one point, in the undivided Andhra Pradesh, there used to be more than 3,000 theatres which are now reduced to less than 2,000 in both Telugu states. Andhra Pradesh currently has close to 1,000 theatres and close to 200 theatres were closed already by the authorities.

As another noteworthy development in the much-talked-about issue, the Andhra Pradesh High Court will hear a petition in connection with the case today and might take a call on this. The theatre owners and distributors are hoping that the Andhra Pradesh High Court will understand their issues and give a favorable decision.
