Social media abuzz with the news about Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singhs relationship with journalist Amrita Rai after the revelation of their private pictures.However the duo admits their relationship in separate statements and said that they were highly disturbed with media intervention in private matters.
Fumed with the leakage Amrita Rai on Thursday lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police crime branch, alleging that her personal email account was hacked.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under sections of the IT Act and have started investigations. According to the police, Rai, in a written complaint, alleged that unknown people hacked her Twitter and Facebook accounts and accessed her personal photographs.She alleged that the culprits then posted the pictures on a fake Facebook account.
She (Rai) complained that her accounts on Gmail, Facebook and Twitter were hacked. The crime branch has registered a case under the IT Act," a Delhi Police crime branch official said.
