AP Budget 2017 Highlights

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu Today presented AP Budget for the financial year 2017-18 in the Assembly at Velagapudi. He told State's Economy is badly hit with Demonetisation & Shifting of Administration to AP Capital in fiscal 2016-17. He predicts negative impact of GST on the economy for a short term from July 1st this year.

Yanamala has put an end to the old tradition of Plan & Non-Plan Expenditures in the Budget. Instead, He opted for a structural reform with Revenue & Capital Expenditures by claiming it's the best practice followed Globally.

AP Budget 2017-18: Rs 1,56,999 crore. The Budget allocation has been increased by 15.70 percent when compared to last year.

Revenue Expenditure: Rs 1,25,911 crore; Capital Expenditure: Rs 31,087 crore; Principal Repayment of Public Debt: Rs 8,009 crore

Revenue Collected in the form of Taxes: Rs 82,855 crore

Revenue Deficit: Rs 416 crore; Fiscal Deficit: Rs 23,054 crore

Inclusion of Gender Budget: The main objective behind it is to prevent discrimination against women and girl, when it comes to security, human rights and development.

Rs 5,207 crore for Urban Development

Rs 4,813 crore for Tourism

Rs 4,316 crore for Pensions

Rs 4,041 crore for Roads & Buildings

Rs 3,946 crore for Transport

Rs 3,600 crore for Farm Loan Waiver

Rs 3,528 crore for SC,ST Sub-Plan
