Andhra Pradesh reports 758 new Covid cases, total tally reaches 8,92,984
The steady rise in the fresh Coronavirus is worrying Andhra Pradesh. A day after adding more than 500 infections on Wednesday, the state yet again witnessed a sharp rise in single-day cases.
According to the information shared by the Health Ministry, Andhra Pradesh witnessed not less than 758 fresh Coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, taking the total caseload to a whopping 8,92,984.
Chittoor reported the highest fresh infections in 24 hours with 175, followed by Guntur, Visakhapatnam, and Krishna districts with 127, 98, and 80 infections respectively.
On the other hand, 231 people were declared cured and discharged from the hospitals accordingly in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 8,82,314 patients have beaten the virus.
The active cases of respiratory disease stood at 3469 in the state, while the Covid-19 related casualties zoomed to 7,201 after four people lost their lives to the pandemic in the past 24 hours.
As per the health bulletin issued by the state Health Department, so far a total of 1,48,75,597 samples have been tested in the state while 35,196 samples were tested in the past 24 hours alone.
Andhra Pradesh is at the fourth palace in terms of testing Corona samples with 1,48,75,597. Karnataka (2.06 crore), Tamil Nadu( 1.92 cr), and Maharashtra(1.87 Cr) are at the top three places.
