Finally, after five years the state got bifurcated Andhra Pradesh will celebrate its formation on Friday. The newly elected YS Jagan government has decided to celebrate the formation day for three days.
The AP Formation Day celebrations will take place at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation. Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will attend the celebrations. During the celebrations, the rich traditions, and culture of Andhra Pradesh will be showcased.
When the state was divided in 2014, the previous TDP government has not celebrated the formation day of the state on November 1. This marks the formation of the state, that was carved out of the Madras state on the linguistic grounds.
Rather than celebrating the formation day, Chandrababu government has organized 'Nava Nirmana Deeksha' on June 2, which marks the bifurcation of the Telugu States.
According to the official information, Pingali Venkaiah's granddaughter and grandson, Potti Sriramulu's grandchildren, Tanguturi Prakasham's kin, Alluri Seetharama Raju's grandson, Kanneganti Hanumanthu's great-grandson, Koti Reddy's granddaughter, Vavilala Gopalakrishnaiah's kin, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy's fifth-generation grandson and Damodaram Sanjeevaiah's grandchildren will be felicitated by the AP government.
The celebrations will be having almost 21 stalls that showcase the beautiful skills of the weavers. There will also be 25 food stalls consisting of a variety of food items
