AP Govt issued STOP PAYMENT orders

In what we call as an unexpected and   shocking move, the Andhra Pradesh government issued a circular to all the departments directing all treasury and pay account offices to stop the payments until a further order is issued.

As per the reports the decision was taken by government after finding difficulties with financial crisis.The “STOP PAYMENT” order creating panic among state governemtn employesss.The orders will come into force from this moment until further notification issues.

As per sources Government of Andhra Pradesh had inadequate resources to pay the salaries. This was one of the biggest dilemmas facing the nascent state. The Centre is learnt to have not responded positively to the State’s request to bail it out of the grave economic crisis, created following the bifurcation.

The orders comes into force days after chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had openly claimed that the State government was not in a position to pay the salaries of its employees. This is a deep plunge of Andhra Pradesh into financial crunch.
