AP High Court Puts Brakes to Government in Amara Raja Issue!

The temple-city-based conglomerate company Amara Raja Group is one of the leading power systems firms. However, the company is not having a good time in its state as the company is facing a lot of issues. At one time it was reported that the company wanted to shift its base to Chennai.

The issue between the company and the Andhra Pradesh government had reached the High Court. As the government is trying to take back the land that was allotted to it for investment purposes, the company has knocked on the doors of the High Court.

After hearing the arguments, the High Court had said that the land given to Amara Raja company should not be taken back and the status quo should remain the same. Having said that, the High Court also maintained that there should be no harassment towards the company.

The Court orders gave a big relief to TDP MP Galla Jayadev who has been fighting for the land that was given to his company during the combined state. As many as 483.27 acres of land were given to the company back in 2009. However, the current government said that no investments were made as said by the company in the past and half of the land was not used.

For the same reasons, the Andhra Pradesh government tried to take back the land that was given to the company. However, the High Court Has kept brakes on the government in this matter.
