Update: 2020-05-05 07:59 GMT
In what it could be a shocker, the Andhra Pradesh High Court served notices to five MLAs of the ruling YSRCP for violating the lockdown norms and regulations imposed with the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.

This new development erupted following a petition filed by advocate Kishore on the MLAs of the ruling who violated the lockdown norms and making the situation in the state scarier.

Notices were sent to Srikalahasti YSRCP MLA Madhusudhan Reddy, Nagari MLA Roja, Sullurpet MLA Kiliveti Sanjeeviah, Palamaner MLA Venkat Reddy, Chilkaluripeta MLA Rajni.

The Court asked the state government on the actions taken on these violators who became the reason for people gathering in large numbers. With Srikalahasti MLA carrying out a rally, the positive cases in the constituency increased at once.

After the proceedings that happened via video-conference, the High Court directed the state government and DGP Gautam Sawang to file a counter-petition within one week on the actions taken against the lockdown violaters.
