Andhra Pradesh which is suffering from the outbreak of the novel coronavirus is also set to witness rainfall activity as per the India Meteorological Department(IMD). The state might witness rainfall for four days with strong winds and hailstorms.
Fellow Telugu state Telangana also witnessed rainfall at some places resulted in a loss for the farmers with the crops getting collapsed. Even some farmers lost their lives in the state as a result of thunderstorms.
AP might witness a heavy rainfall from Sturdy with thunderstorms, hailstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. As per the observations of the IMD department, the Rayalaseema region of Andhra might also witness a rainfall for the coming five days as the humidity levels rose in two days.
Following this, the Weather Department has directed the farmers and pubic to stay safe as the state might witness a heavy rain with thunderstorms. Mango, Banana, Papaya, and sweet lime farmers were advised by the horticulture officials to take the measures to save their crops to cut short the damage.
'Rainfall and thunderstorm activity is likely from April 25 to 29 over coastal A.P. and Rayalaseema. Sweet lime crop in and around Garladinne and Anantapur has reached the harvest stage and the farmers could be the worst sufferers as thundershowers are likely on next Tuesday and Wednesday,' Agrometeorology S. Malleswari Sadhineni said.
