Are TRS, MIM Playing A Friendly Match Over PV's Bharat Ratna?

Update: 2020-09-09 02:57 GMT
Are the TRS and the MIM doing a friendly fight over Bharat Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao? While the TRS will support Bharat Ratna for PV, the MIM will oppose. Thus, the TRS will be able to retain its image as a protector of Telangana interests, while the MIM will keep its pro-Muslim image.  The TRS will rob the BJP of the pro-Hindu image, while the MIM will weaken the challenge from the Congress.

Insiders say this is part of a game carefully hatched by both the TRS and the MIM. Normally, Bharat Ratna to PV should not be an issue. But, by opposing it in the name of Babri demolition, the MIM is making it a communal issue. The idea seems to project TRS as pro-PV, thus pro-Temple and thus pro-Hindu. Also, despite the friendly fight over the issue, both the parties will contest the GHMC elections in perfect tango. According to sources, the TRS will not put up candidates in places where the TRS is contesting. This will ensure that all the Muslim votes go to the TRS. Conversely, the TRS will put  up candidates wherever the MIM is contesting. This will divide the non-Muslim votes.

Hence the Bharat Ratna to PV issue is a carefully thought out plan for the urban voters, especially in places like Hyderabad and Warangal, which have an emotional connect with PV.
