Ace producer Aswini Dutt and yesteryear Superstar Krishnam Raju knocked on the doors of Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking directives to compensate them for their lands. They have filed petitions separately.
Going into detail, the duo has given their lands to the previous Telugu Desam Party(TDP) government for the Gannavaram airport development and expansion works. While Aswini Dutt gave 39 acres of land, Krishnam Raju gave 31 acres of land for the development works of Gannavaram airport.
However, the YSRCP government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came up with a decision to decentralize the development and have three capitals rather than having Amaravati as the state capital.
This forced Aswini Dutt to move the High Court to seek compensation he has given to the previous government. The producer in his petition maintained that, according to the land pooling act 2013, after compensating him for Rs 210 crore, the Airport authority can start the construction works.
On the other hand, there is no official information on the amount demanded by Krishnam Raju as compensation for the 31 acres of land he has given to the then government.
In the petitions, they have maintained that they have given their lands for the government on the agreement that they will be offered with the lands that are equivalent to their land value.
The producer and actor sought directives from the High Court to make state government and the Airport authority as the parties. They have demanded compensation, which translates to four times their land value.
