Athletes worried about Thefts @ Rio Olympics

Athletes who were participating in Rio Olympics 2016 have been troubled with the numerous thefts happening in the Olympic Village. Already, Rio Organizers have been facing criticism for the poor arrangements being done. Now, Thefts in the hotel rooms have only been embarrassing them. They keep apologizing to the Athletes for the inconvenience but the issue remains unaddressed.

Recently, Smartphones, iPad, Clothes and Other Values of Denmark Athletes have been stolen. The Athletes were clueless on how the theft have been happening.

Since July 18th, 150 Complaints have been received from 36 Apartments over the missing goods. Mostly, Chinese & Australian Athletes have been targeted.

Nearly 88,000 security forces have been deployed for Rio Village. This count is much higher than the security provided for London 2012 Olympics. Still, Several theft cases were registered even before the Opening Ceremony, August 5th
