Update: 2023-04-08 12:18 GMT
Amid the scare of possible global recession, employees are fearing what would happen next. In this situation, there is a need for everyone to be alert and cautious. While job aspirants are facing some sort of issues, the employees holding jobs are going through different issues. But everyone has to remember that we have to keep an eye on the situation around us and how the industry is responding now. Compared to others employees in the IT industry have to be more alert.

Now a piece of new news has come out. The IT companies and giants are reportedly thinking seriously about giving a small break to the hiring process for at least six months. The companies recruited employees in big numbers last year. But they are making steps carefully to adjust the recruitment as per the current demand.

The experts say that the financial results in the previous financial year tell that the net appointments are coming down regularly in every trimester and in the coming days the appointments will come down even further. So it is said that the recruitment process would be stopped for the next six months. The Xpheno job report said that compared to the previous year, the job opportunities in March Trimester reduced by 56 percent and the same is likely to be continued.

The ongoing developments added fuel to the debate that the IT employees would face issues with that. The crisis in the global banking sector is resulting in negative aspects in the IT sector. Companies offering IT services for the banking, financial sector, and Insurance sectors are facing tough situations. The effect is likely to last for six months and the sector would enter recovery mode later.

The numbers also hint at the same. The IT giants like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, and Tech Mahinda recruited 59704 employees in Q1 and 34713 employees in Q2. Coming to Q3, the number fell to four digits and only 4904 employees were recruited.

At the same time, a similar situation is in the BPO sector as well. We can understand what happened and what is going to happen next as 4.8 lakh recruitments were done in IT.. BPO services sector for the 2022 financial year and in the 2023 financial year, the recruitments fell to 2.8 lakhs. If the employees put focus on updating themselves then their future would be brought.
